GAME RULES

THE BASICS

Ponomoly is a game of strategy, luck, and ruthlessness. Your goal is simple: Bankrupt everyone else.

1. ROLL & MOVE

Roll two dice. Move that many spaces. If you roll doubles, you go again!

2. BUY & BUILD

Land on an unowned property? Buy it! Own it already? Build houses to increase rent.

3. PAY RENT

Land on someone else's property? Pay up. If you can't pay, you lose.

Building Rules

  • You can build houses on any property you own if you have the full set of that country.
  • Even Build Rule: You must build evenly across a color group. You cannot have more than 1 house difference between properties in the same set.
  • Max 4 houses per property.
  • Houses significantly increase the rent opponents must pay.

Winning & Losing

  • Bankruptcy: If you owe more money than you have (and can't raise enough by selling/mortgaging), you are bankrupt and out of the game.
  • Victory: The last player remaining with money wins the game!
